Joey Mercury is a former WWE and ECW superstar.

Mercury wrestled under the name Joey Matthews in the now defunct Extreme Championship Wrestling before it's closure and subsequent WWE aquisition. He was eventually signed to the WWE in 2004.

Whilst in the WWE development teritory OVW, he teamed with Johnny Nitro and Melina, forming the tag team MNM. As part of this team he made his WWE debut in 2005.

MNM debut by assualting Smackdown superstar Rey Mysterio and would later go on to caputre numerous tag team title reigns, notable feuding with Paul London and Brian Kendrick and Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. As part of their "A List" gimmick, MNM would wear fur coats to the ring whilst being hounded by Paparazzi.

In 2006 Mercury suffered a now infamous injury at Armageddon where he face was crushed in a horrific ladder accident involving The Hardy Boyz. As a result Mercury was sidelined for months and eventually returned to seek revenge.

MNM would tag for a while longer before Nitro and Melina turned on Mercury taking him out of action (in reality he was suspended in regards to the WWE substance abuse policy). Mercury remained with the company but was eventually released.

He returned to the WWE when he joined th SES (Straight Edge Society) as the "Mystery" Man.

Joey Mercury has only appeared in one WWE Smackdown! game.
